Ruth Egginton - Scarves With Edge

This post is long over due, in-fact 3 months overdue but they say better late than never.  2016 started out just as any photographer would hope, with a client open minded enough to completely change direction on their brief.  Working with print designer Ruth was a complete joy, shooting certain products can sometimes be limiting.  However, if your client can see your vision then there's real possibility to create something unique, edgy and individual which is exactly what happened. The aim of the concept was to showcase Ruth's organic designs by off-setting them against a contrasting environment. The crisp neutral structures offered us a blank canvas similar to what you'd get from basic product shots, but with much more interest, and the hard light meant the shadows play the role of creating depth. I loved working on this shoot, everything from building the set to editing the final shots was right up my street.  Ruth was kind enough to share her point of view on the process.

"Susan was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. When I first contacted her, I didn’t have a clear idea of how I wanted to present my silk scarves, but she really helped come up with a concept for the photo shoot. The photos were contemporary and timeless, exactly what I asked for, and the professional quality of the photos really shows off my product range."

"Susan is very approachable and easy to talk to, and kept me informed at every stage. She was able to work to my deadline, yet work with diligence. I will be using her service again for my next collection without any reservations."
